Join us at Slate Summit

Slate Summit is a conference like no other, and has been since its inception in 2013 when 300+ Slate users gathered in what was then the Shubert Theatre in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. In true tech startup fashion, they - together with the handful of employees of parent company Technolutions - camped out in corridors and in front of bathrooms, gathering wherever they could find space to host small group discussions and network with each other about Slate, their beloved college admissions and recruiting system.

Eleven years, an expanded student lifecycle offering, and well over 10,000 attendees later, the Summit now exemplifies Slate’s unique position within the world of higher education technology systems. At once serving as both educational training for Slate users and an opportunity to build on the user community fostered in various online forums, the 10th annual Slate Summit conference happening this year at Chicago’s Navy Pier from June 20-21 is perhaps best described as “Slate’s family reunion.”

  • Sit in on the keynote session, led by founder, CEO and chief developer Alexander Clark, and watch as 3,000+ users from across the world and the field of higher education celebrate new feature announcements.

  • Wander the halls between breakout sessions while people from rival institutions greet each other like long-lost friends, pulling out laptops and phones to talk shop and troubleshoot together in their Slate databases.

  • Pop into a packed conference room and listen to users regale their peers with stories of the Admissions, Advancement, or Student Success obstacles they’ve overcome and how they used Slate to do it.

Above all else, the Slate Summit is a conference built specifically for the benefit of those who use the iconic blue-and-white interface to reach, recruit, and resource students and learners across the spectrum of education.

Registration is still available at a discounted rate through each school’s Slate database, and includes the option for a year-long subscription to Slate’s Learning Lab, also at a reduced rate. Each conference registration includes access to the keynote session, 70+ breakout sessions and over two dozen affinity groups, attendance at the Slate Icon Awards, four catered meals, an epic dance party with a special performance by Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, and more. Sign up today and join us in Chicago to celebrate the 10th annual Slate Summit.
