Updates are applied throughout the year as part of a continuous delivery development process. We are especially sensitive to the concept of default behaviors, and whenever new configurations or customizations are being added we work very hard, through a rigorous QA process, to ensure that default behaviors are not changed and that the configuration or customization must be explicitly enabled to augment the existing behavior. New features that have not previously existed are deployed throughout the year and are separately permissioned so that an organization not yet ready to begin utilizing the functionality can ignore it and none of their existing processes will be affected.

For more major changes to features, we take a very different approach. We announce the feature update, then release the new environment in a side-by-side mode with real-time synchronization, where all existing resources remain in the old environment and the old environment remains the default to allow individual users to become comfortable with the new environment at their own pace. During this time, we host live webinars which are recorded and made available to our partners, and we release documentation to support the new functionality. Over time, the new environment becomes the default for new items, but existing items continue to use the old environment. Then, typically six months after the initial release, the old environment is retired and items are auto-upgraded to the new environment.

Slate runs in the Amazon Web Service cloud, utilizing a multi-availability zone and multi-region deployment for high availability and disaster recovery. As a hosted solution, there are no additional hardware, software, storage, or database requirements. All costs are included in the standard contract fee. There are no additional administration or maintenance fees. We have redundancy from the disks to the servers to the network. Should Slate ever become unavailable for any reason, we immediately begin a failover process that takes approximately 30 seconds to complete. We regularly add servers and computational capacity to bring you real-time data with ever-increasing performance.

Technolutions acknowledges responsibility for the security of cardholder data it possesses or otherwise stores, processes or transmits on behalf of a client. Technolutions attests that it has complied with all applicable requirements to be considered PCI DSS compliant, has performed the necessary steps to validate its compliance with the PCI DSS, and will take the necessary steps to maintain such compliance.
