Fundamentals of Slate

Our Fundamentals of Slate online courses are designed to allow users to register at any time to learn the core principles and foundational concepts of Slate at their own pace through interactive, online course content. These courses teach database decision-makers to build and maintain their institution's database.

Intended Audience

The Fundamentals of Slate courses are primarily intended for the builders within the database. This can include:

— Captains for an institution that are brand new to Slate and just beginning their implementation
— New staff at your institution
— Existing staff in new roles with an already built database

Registrants should have a solid understanding of current processes and be empowered to make decisions and implement plans to address their office’s business needs. They should strike a balance between a functional-level expert and a strategic goal-setter.

Registrants should be able to commit adequate time to focus on the courses and go through the necessary build-out and training along the way. Possible candidates to take these courses may include: Director of Operations, Associate or Senior Director, Admissions / Student Success Coordinator, Director of Advancement Services, Director of Alumni Engagement, etc.

Course Access

Designed to allow users to learn at their own pace – register for a Fundamentals of Slate course at any time, and access it for one full year from the date of registration.

Cost

The $250 per registrant fee is waived for the first three registrants from each institution. Registrants will be prompted to apply a registration fee waiver within the form registration, should remaining waivers exist. This registration fee is non-refundable.
