Your university, within one degree.

What's a portal?

A portal is a single interface that brings together a wide array of information and resources, providing you with an integrated view of a variety of content. More than a mere customizeable homepage, Univariant provides a space for web-hosting and other types of information generation. For example, student publications can be integrated through RSS feeds, student organizations can make their own websites and advertise their events through campus-wide calendars, and students can exchange goods and services participate in student-to-student marketplaces.

Tightly integrated

Give your portal the look and feel of your university's web resources by fully customizing the layout of your portal. You'll also be able to access the portal through your university's dot-edu address (e.g., "portal.college.edu"), instead of a third-party URL. Integration with your university's single sign-on provider allows you to access the portal as you would any other secure university resource.

Information you care about

Your Univariant homepage is a single location through which you can access university content and content drawn from other places on the Internet. Pin weather forecasts, RSS feeds, event calendars, classified listings, and movie showtimes to your homepage for quick access.

What's happening on campus

Publicize your events on the calendar and flyerboard, or use our Facebook integration to create a Facebook event directly from your event page in the portal. You can also sell tickets to your events and track registration data on-line. Attendees can browse upcoming events and announcements and add events of interest to their calendars.

Gather a following

Whether you're a student group trying to make a difference or an individual with a great idea, make your own website using the included easy-to-use web tools, available directly through the portal interface. Have group members subscribe to your calendar so they're always up to date on your latest events.

A safer marketplace

With the Univariant marketplace, student-to-student listing and selling means no fees, low risk, and no hassle. Save money by using the textbook exchange to buy and sell used books, or use the classifieds to buy and sell everything from furniture and electronics to bicycles and cars. Use the housing marketplace to list rooms, apartments, and houses available for sublet or lease.

Going places

Save money on gas and tolls by posting your upcoming travels to find other students that may need a ride. Browse posted rides to find direct transport to your desired location without the hassle and expense of buses and trains.
