End-to-End Encryption
Sensitive data is always received and transmitted over SSL, using 2048-bit keys. Limited-purpose data points, such as the Social Security Number, are immediately encrypted using a keypair where the institution is the only holder of that private key. Whenever data needs to be exported containing an SSN, that special key is required.

High Performance, High Availability
We have redundancy from the disks to the servers to the network. If ever Slate should become unavailable for any reason, we immediately begin a failover process that usually takes about 30 seconds. We regularly add servers and computational capacity to bring you real-time data with ever-increasing performance.

Off-Site Copy
Your IT group can download, at a regularly scheduled interval or on-demand, a complete backup copy of your database and all application files—including all source and object codes—for secure storage on your campus for the added peace of mind of guaranteed service and data continuity.

Smart Maintenance Windows
