On-line applications
Slate offers the ability to host an application through an institution-branded dot-edu address instead of a third-party URL. In addition to taking advantage of our easy-to-use on-line recommendation request system, applicants can upload materials directly to their application, such as writing samples, essay responses, or multimedia portfolio items (digital images, audio, and video). Their application checklist updates in real-time to help them (and you) keep abreast of their progress.
Smart Reporting
Our WYSIWYG query editor will allow you to generate reports with a degree of specificity that other systems simply cannot match. With a set of filters and outputs that is customized for your program, you will no longer have to wait for IT to deliver your complex reports. Plus, as you save more queries, you will build a list of powerful one-click reports that give you exactly what you need, when you need it. Export to Excel or other programs with one click.
Scheduling and Forms
Produce easy-to-use webforms and event registration pages through Slate's what-you-see-is-what-you-get form editor. Schedule confirmation, reminder, and thank you e-mails for the event while keeping track of your registrants in real-time. Use the built-in Calendar to stay on top of your upcoming events.
Slate's e-mail function, Deliver, makes it easy to send mail-merge personalized e-mails to large groups of people. Use the Query editor to pull a custom list of prospects, or upload your own list from Excel. Apply a template, embed images, and add other content through an easy-to-use html editor. Track the success of each e-mail campaign by looking at bouncebacks and tracking link-clicking through Slate's interface.
Fraud Detection
Slate also features a robust fraud detection system. By combining document metadata (creator, author, printed by, creation date, modification date, print date, edit cycle, edit time, etc.) for all uploaded Word documents, all available metadata for uploaded PDFs, and login histories for all applicants and recommenders, Slate is able to issue intelligent and adaptive alerts when potential fraud is detected. We have also created our own proprietary plagiarism detection system, able to be run on-demand or automatically on schedule, that searches the entire history of uploaded documents and will identify statistically-significant duplication.
Increasing your yield
